Debugging

Wifi involves several components from several suppliers, and is consequently often difficult to debug. Debugging an access point can be broken into steps.

Does the interface appear correct? Check

• hardware capability
• /etc/network/interfaces{,.d/*}
• /etc/dhcpcd.conf
• for conflict between the above

Does the access point appear correct? Check

• hardware capability
• /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
